Redrock Highlands Guide — All 13 Special Aniimo Unlocks

Redrock Highlands is the special-Aniimo capital of Aidel: 13 documented specials in one canyon country, mixing altar puzzles, snow-melt spawns, chest-triggered elites and a Ley-Flower iridescent. This page walks all thirteen with coordinates from the community atlas. Treat coordinates as starting points — sweep outward from each.

The golden helmet altar (specials 1–2)

At approximately (-0595, 1628), an altar holds a golden helmet. Use a creature's pickup/manipulation skill to take it:

• Peekhelm woodland form then spawns at about (-0582, 1632).
• Helmward woodland form spawns at about (-0578, 1516).
• Bonus: the woodland Peekhelm you catch here can evolve into the woodland Helmbrave — a form otherwise locked out of the highlands.

One puzzle, two specials, and an evolution unlock — the best time-per-special ratio in the region.

The snow pair (specials 3–4)

Both snow-form helms require active snowfall in the highlands:

• Peekhelm snow form at about (-0538, 1569).
• Helmward snow form at about (-0541, 1540) — this one is buried: find the two snowballs nearby and melt them with a Fire skill to reveal it.

Both evolve their respective snow-form Helmbrave lines. Plan around the weather — or borrow a friend's blizzard (how).

The boss and the iridescent (specials 5–6)

• Helmward boss at about (-0445, 1588) — standard elite rules; respawns a minute after capture.
• Helmbrave iridescent at about (-0570, 1466) — nourish the highlands' Ley Flower until the iridescent phenomenon triggers, then hunt. This is the region's sparkle chase and the reason Redrock sessions should end at the Flower.

The dragon shelf (specials 7–9)

The canyon's dragon terrace chains three unlocks:

1. Steeljaw alpine form — complete the exploration challenge at about (-0508, 1862); after completion, the Steeljaw spawns there, and two respawn at that point permanently afterward.
2. Silverdrake alpine form — a fixed point at the stone forest platform, about (-0321, 1830). The capture has a trick: use Silverdrake's dual-side vision skill to clear the stones blocking the outer ledge, open the chest — and the chest triggers an enraged Silverdrake. That anger is the spawn: capture it. (This is the wild, pre-enhanced-adjacent Silverdrake line the F2P core loves.)
3. Helmdrake alpine form — after the chest, two Helmdrake spawn at about (-0376, 1854). Same session, short walk.

Do the three as one visit; the chain is the region's best-kept shortcut.

The meadow and the eggs (specials 10–11)

• Petalyn highland form at about (-0186, 1910) — daytime only. Set the clock, not just the calendar.
• Tubagull highland form at about (-0094, 1867) — gated behind collecting every Excellent Egg in the region. The highlands' egg hunt is a mini-game in itself; glide the cliff lines the way the Whalefall egg route teaches.

The snow wolves (specials 12–13)

Both snow-line wolves need snowfall:

• Motolad snow form has a guaranteed spawn point at about (0014, 1836) during snow.
• Rollad snow form spawns nearby in the same weather — and the snow Rollad evolves into the snow Rocklad when caught in the snow.

Session plan

1. Clear-weather session: helmet altar chain → dragon shelf chain → Petalyn (day) → Ley Flower (iridescent attempt) → Helmward boss loop.
2. Snow session: both snow-helm melts → Motolad point → Rollad sweep → snow-evolution captures.
3. Long-term: the Excellent Egg collection for the Tubagull highland special — one cliff-glide pass per visit until done.

Thirteen specials, three sessions. No other region in Aidel converts effort into dex value like the Redrock Highlands — budget it the time it deserves.
